Object Storage

Object Storage helps to store a large amount of unstructured data in a highly scalable distinct unit. Clouds Brain storage feature provides object storage migration and can perform operations like create buckets, delete buckets, upload objects, download objects, and delete objects from a single platform.

Block Storage

Block Storage is used to store data files on cloud-based storage environments. Clouds Brain storage feature support block storage that stores a data in form of blocks with unique identifier. The data stored in block storage is of fixed size. Volume lifecycle management, snapshots backup is some of the services offered by block storage feature. Currently block storage support following storage drivers : Ceph, LVM, Huawei, Dorado, Huawei-Ocean Store, NetApp-Ontap, HPE-Nimble, Fujitsu.

Cold Storage

Cold storage is optimized for low hardware cost, high storage density. It is server whose purpose is to store the data that’s accessed less frequently. It has various practical use cases like archiving data for regulatory purposes, magnetic tape replacement, digital media asset archival and backup, and restore for disaster recovery scenario.

File Storage

File storage commonly referred to as Network File share is the centralized repository for files. It is very useful for sharing the contents across multiple servers. File shares can be accessed by instances into the Clouds as well as the on-premise instances and across AZs and Regions. Its snapshots help to create backup and supports LVM in Clouds Brain
